3 Candle Magic Tips
For Everyday Use
One of the easiest ways to make some everyday magic in your life is through candles. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors, materials…it can be kind of overwhelming! Let’s look at three common candle types and some really easy ways to incorporate them into your everyday magic making.
Reiki charged, scented, colored candles
These candles are really easy to find online and can be found at most metaphysical shops. Because they are already charged with intention and colored and scented to align with that intention, they are pretty much grab-and-go magic! An easy way to amplify that energy is to hold the candle in your hands and visualize your intention. Spend some time putting that energy into the candle. Then, light it and let it go! If you need to put the flame out and then relight it another time, simply take a moment to connect back to that energy again the next time around.
Beeswax pillar candle
This candle is one of my favorites to use for all things magical. They are easy to dress and carve and are super eco friendly. Any pillar candle is perfect for doing magical workings that take a little extra time and energy. Maybe you want to light them a little bit each day for seven days, or for a lunar cycle, or for some other period of time that you’ve chosen. Carve your intention into that lovely little pillar of wax and create a gateway for it to come into being.
Chime candle
Chime candles are pretty much your standard witchy candle. They come in all sorts of colors but the white ones can be found pretty much anywhere as a set of emergency candles. These are super fun to dress with herbs! Light one candle and use the melting wax to affix herbs to a second candle. Be careful when you light it though as it will go up in a really big blaze! Perfect time to use a big ole cast iron cauldron. Because chime candles are so small, they are also great for some really quick intention setting, banishing, or quick energy boost. Perfect when you need a little confidence or want to release something from the workday.
So, what candles do you have lying around and how can you use them to make some everyday magic?
