There is soooo much happening in the sky this week, so we are set for an interesting mix of energies.

Sunday 25th April: Mercury Conjunct Venus – a union of mind and heart 

We come into this week with Mercury Conjunct Venus in the comforting and grounding Taurus. This means that we come into the week with our logical mind and our heart working as one. This will make it easier for us to articulate our feelings and to understand other people as they do the same. Our communication may be more persuasive than usual, especially when it comes to getting things we desire. With this conjunction happening in Taurus, this is a great week for expressing and communicating through art and creativity. 

Monday April 26th:  Full Moon in Scorpio – intensity!

On Monday, we have the Full Moon in the deep, intense and transformational sign of Scorpio. This Full Moon will be Opposite Uranus in Taurus. This may put a spotlight on tensions or oppositions between deep emotions we are feeling or truths we are hiding on our ability to change. Is anything buried deep inside you holding you back? This is a great Moon for shadow work. This Opposition could also cause us to be led by our emotions into sudden, rebellious change that we may or may not want. The Scorpio Moon is also Trine Mars in Cancer, further strengthening that flow of energy between our emotions and our motivations and wilful actions.  Like last week, we need to keep a check on how our emotions are influencing our motivations and behaviours.

Tuesday April 27th: Pluto Goes Retrograde – time to let go of control issues

Pluto, the deep, intense planet of transformation begins its backspin in Capricorn on Tuesday and will stay retrograde until October 6th. Like all retrogrades, this will drive us to look inward at ourselves and do some shadow work. Pluto retrograde is a great time to reflect and work on any power or control issues you have in your life. If anyone, or anything has been controlling or manipulating you in any way then then now is the time to let that go. Likewise, if you have been too controlling of others or of situations then it is time now to be honest with yourself about this and let it go.  Do some deep shadow work to look for repeating themes in your life to help you see where you have habits, compulsions, addictions, or prejudices that control you. Now is the time to address these and eliminate from your life.

Friday April 30th: Sun Conjunct Uranus – a need for change or freedom 

We end the week with a Conjunction between Uranus, the planet of change, freedom and rebellion and the Sun, the centre of ourselves, our vitality and creativity.  This may cause a deep craving for freedom. This can be for whatever freedom looks like for you. You may feel driven to make bold actions freeing yourself from a relationship or to make changes in your career. Or you may just want to give yourself freedom to relax more or to be your authentic, apologetic self.  Looking to where Taurus is in your Birth Chart may help you to see where you feel you need more personal and creative freedom right now.
