Episode 101- Full Moon in Leo

We have a Leo Full Moon coming up January 28th (2021). What does this mean for you? How can you make the best use of this Leo Full Moon time?

Leo and Capricorn

We can look at each Lunar Cycle as a container of energy that we can direct towards our intention or the ‘thing’ we are manifesting. This cycle started with a Capricorn New Moon on 13th January, making this a Capricorn Lunar Cycle. Capricorn is the workhorse, the CEO of the Zodiac, carrying the energy towards getting stuff done, organising and getting through the to-do list. Now we have a Leo Full Moon, bringing strength and fiery passion. This can help you believe that you can do anything you want to do, to shine your light on the world and be seen!

Astronomically Speaking, the Full Moon and the New Moon are always going to be at opposite signs. The opposite sign to Capricorn is Cancer. We have a Leo Full Moon because the Moon shifted into Aquarius as soon as it entered its New Moon phase, so now we have a Full Moon in Aquarius’ opposite sign – Leo.

This means that we are being given an opportunity to harness something in the relationship between Capricorn and Leo to help us with whatever we are focusing on during this Lunar Cycle. This is an interesting dynamic. Capricorn has great follow-through on all its intentions. Capricorn is also a leader. It is the mountain goat, who will keep going with tenacity until it reaches the top of the mountain, and then wants everyone to see how it got there and want to follow its way to the top.

Leo is also a leader; it also likes to be seen but in a different way. In a workplace, Capricorn would be the CEO, the one who has done all the hard work and needs people to follow their plans and the example. Leo would be the one presenting the results of this hard work, the one that goes out and makes the sales pitches or motivational speeches. This Leo Energy is so big, bold, and bright that people might think they are the ones that made it all happen, when really Capricorn was behind a lot of it. Capricorn is a colder, more boss like energy, that you may not want to follow but have to. Leo is a much warmer kind of leader, enthusiastic and creational who you would want to follow.

Think back over like the last two weeks. Where have you been putting in the effort – using that Capricorn energy. Now, where do you need to step forward with your achievements and be seen? What do you want to shine your light on?

We always talk about the Full Moon as being a good time to release those things that don’t serve us. We don’t just do this for the sake of it. We do this to make space for the things that will serve us better and to manifest our intentions. This Full Moon, think about what you need to release to be able to really double down on your intention and to be able to put more of Leo’s strength into it.
