It’s getting mighty close to vacation season! Whether you have had your summer holiday booked since Yule, or are hanging out for a last minute deal, here are our ten top tips to enjoy a super magical holiday whilst staying true to your intentions and spiritual practice.
1. Pack a mobile ‘Quest Pack’
If you are a follower of The Sisters Enchanted, you will know that we love a good mobile ‘quest pack.’ Save a place in your luggage for some of your favorite things that help you to feel super magical, such as a tarot deck, a few crystals, your favorite herbs or tea blend, journal and coloured pens.

2. Maintain your key spiritual practises
Do you like to start the day with a meditation, or a ceremonial bath or shower? Do you like to pick a daily tarot card? Do you intentionally, or intuitively choose a crystal to wear or carry for the day? Keep up with those little things that help you to feel magical.
3. Make an Intention
Make an intention for how you want to FEEL on your vacation. Do you want to learn something new, experience different traditions or zone out and come back feeling totally chilled out and relaxed. Keep a check that your daily activities are in alignment with that intention.
4. Be willing to scrap the plan!
Be ‘intentionally flexible’ with your intention for the holiday. For example, if your intention was to learn to surf but the sea is flat calm all week, don’t sit around in disappointment and come home regretting lost opportunities. Check out other opportunities in the region and make a new intention.
5. Explore nature
Nature is super magical and central to most spiritual practices. Plan some time in your vacation to get off the beaten track and explore local areas of wild, untamed and unspoiled forests, beaches and parks.
6. Rockhound
We all love pretty crystals. If you are lucky enough to be holidaying in gemstone regions then schedule a time to search for the pretties. Remember, all stones and shells can be powerful tools and it is super magical to use those that were found in a place with strong and happy memories. Why pick one or two you find and literally bring a little of that land back with you to bring its spirit and the energy of your time there into your home.
7. Spend some time working with the four elements.
A really cool way to explore the spirit and magic of a place is to work with the four elements as you find them there. For example, the freshness of coastal or country air; spending some time beside waterfalls, sea, rivers and lakes; walking bare feet on the land; feeling the warmth and light of the Sun.
8. Slow down
It can be easy to rush around on holiday to see everything and get as much as possible done. Slow down and allow yourself time to fully experience the individual moments of your vacation, using all your senses. Spend time at the end of the day recalling and giving gratitude for your experiences.
9. Visit a spiritual place
You can often pick up a wonderful energy from places where people come together to share spiritual or religious activities and ceremonies. Even if this is not your own practise, it can be a magical experience to visit places like old and interesting churches and temples. Check to see if there are any wells, ancient trees or stone circles in the area where people have gathered together. Getting right into the ground in caverns and caves can also feel super magical and grounding.
