Teacher Feature: Traci Bray

I was 5 years old when the first known deceased person appeared to me. Although recognition of life beyond a physical existence was real for me, it wasn’t until the mid-1990’s when friends urged and persuaded me to begin offering public readings. Via word-of-mouth, people got to hear of my skills widened and I know have clients right across the US and across the continents of the world, save the poles!

I am a Level #5 Certified Research Medium with The Windbridge Research Center (see http://windbridge.org) in Tucson, AZ, which is one of five research-related organizations in the world using mediums for study.

Previously, I served as a Certified Medium with the Forever Family Foundation in New York, and with Windbridge’s preceding incarnation, VERITAS directed by Dr. Gary Schwartz. Research is integral to me, as I still question the why’s and the how’s of my work!

I am a relaxed, dynamic, and engaging public speaker and reader and often told how hilariously funny I am too. I have a passion for writing and am often juggling several projects in my home in Montgomery, Alabama.

We asked Traci to give us a pro tip for anyone feeling they are lacking magic or are feeling they have lost their magic.

Sometimes magic needs a rest, or, we need a rest from magic whether we know so or not. Sometimes we will never know why.

A bit of a magical anecdote related: several years ago, I travelled on a wonderful beach vacation to Florida with girlfriends. On a very hot day we had ferried out to an island and were dumped back onto a black top parking lot. I was driving. Keyes were nowhere to be found. There were NO businesses around, and as we waited for an unlock, one of the women became more and more angry, as is her style. I totally emptied my purse AND beach bag in front of her. She spewed that the keys were likely buried in the sand out on the island, blah blah blah. We were thirsty, tired and sun burned. My patience was being tried. I said to another woman, “Here – take my bags and see if you can find the keys.” She likewise dumped and rooted, no keys. More time passed. And the ragging had not stopped. In a huff, I again emptied my bags but this time right onto the black top in one dump. And guess what clattered to the side? Yes. The keys. For more than a moment, the four of us stared at the keys, blinked several times and began to look at each other. I plucked them up. Opened the trunk for bags, and the car and windows and turned on the A/C and off we went. Speechless. The agitated one broke the silence and said, “I wonder what Spirit caused us to by-pass or miss by holding onto those keys?” Insightful of her. We will never know.

But the keys, just like your magic, will re-emerge just at the right time. You can be certain of it.

An interesting, fun fact about you to help us go get to know you better

I am extremely Nature oriented… likely genetically, and certainly in learned behavior from my parents and grandparents. I find landscaping cathartic and get lost in picture books of Victorian gardens as well as in gardening magazines. From Nature I find messages, reassurance and balance. I am not a compulsive spender in life, but get me in a garden center, hopefully someone or something gets me out before my car is full! As someone who lives much of life on the Other Side, being in the dirt keeps me grounded while I’m here. Also, I would include the need to be close to a major source of water is imperative for my survival. With the exception of one miserable residency, I have always lived near to major rivers or the ocean.
