Join Head Magic Maker Sara Walka as she chats with one of our Expedition Astrology teachers Sarah Milne about the upcoming Blue Moon in Taurus on HALLOWEEN!!!

Some Key Takeaways:

This is a super rare Moon. It is the first Full Moon on Halloween for 19 years, and the next one won’t be until 2039. A Full, Blue Moon has not happened on Halloween since 1944! This is a Hunter’s Moon, the Moon under which people would stockpile the results of the harvest to see them through the long and uncertain winter.

This year we are facing a long and uncertain winter too under the threat of the Covid Second Wave. This is a good time to make sure you have gathered the resources you need, especially the things you need mentally and emotionally to get through this winter.

This Blue Moon is in Taurus, the Sign of thing things we value, which includes money and possessions but all the things we value, as well as the things that make us value ourselves.  You will feel this Moon in all areas of life but the strongest impact will be in the Astrological House that is ruled by Taurus in your Birth or Natal Chart.

This Taurus Full Moon is a good time to think about what you value in life, and the things in life that increase your sense of self-value. Let go of anything that doesn’t serve you in these areas, especially where money and possessions are concerned and, with Taurus ruled by Venus, the people in your life who do not celebrate you and make you feel valued.

There are two things to watch about this Moon.

The first is that it is in conjunction with Uranus, the planet of rebellion and change, which just happens to be in retrograde! This may make you feel compelled to make sudden and drastic changes that are out of your normal character. With Uranus and the Moon in Taurus, this could include a sudden urge to leave your job or let go of long-term friends. Be careful and really think before doing anything drastic, especially with the Sun in the dramatic Scorpio with its sting ready to bring some harsh home truths shining light on this Moon. If you do think change is needed, do it with thought and then with grace.

The second thing is that this is a Micro Moon, at her furthest away from The Sun. Superstition links this to dramatic weather and natural disasters. For us, this Moon will bring some emotional turbulence and may also mean that we become acutely aware of the things we need to leave behind but don’t have the staying power on this Moon to see that through.

All of this at Halloween makes the veil between the living and dead even thinner and you may have some strong and emotional memories of those who have passed on.

So, overall, expect the unexpected but take time to celebrate those who celebrate you and maybe give them a call to tell them how much you value them in your life!
