Join Sara and Anna as they discuss the difference between Manifestation and Creation and why it is so important!

The start of a New Year is often the time we strive to make changes to improve aspects of our lives. Here, we discuss how manifestation and creation can work hand-in-hand to bring our desires into being.

Manifestation

The ‘Google Definition’ of manifestation is ‘an event, action or object that clearly shows or embodies something, especially a theory or an abstract idea.’ We often think about manifestation as the act of holding a vision, but it is often something that is quite abstract as we don’t always know exactly how this vision can come into being and come to us.

Manifestation is a fantastic tool, but we can come into difficulties when we rely on manifesting alone.

Manifestation is not always fruitful

The idea of manifesting can cause us some difficulties when we rely purely on manifesting things into being all the time and these things do not come into being. This can be very depleting and upsetting, especially if we are trying to live a magical life and feel that we are trying to manifest things and it just isn’t happening.

We do not automatically attract terrible things into our life

Ideas, such as The Law of Attraction, that centres around the notion that we create the life we experience as our thoughts attract things into being. This can lead to us wondering how on earth we called traumatic and difficult situations into our life. Some terrible things can happen in the world and we certainly do not call these things into our life. Circumstances play a part too.

Universal energy is neutral

There is also an idea about manifesting, especially in the Law of Attraction, that there is this universal energy behind us all the time that will automatically support us and automatically give us abundance if we manifest it. Universal energy is in fact neutral and how we react to it, ourselves and others is what brings light and shadow. We control our input and our resulting output, and this is what drives how this universal energy supports us.

Creation

Manifesting is great for imagining, forming and holding a vision about something we want to bring into our life, but this is not enough to bring it into being. We need creation as well to make things happen!

Manifestation and Creation go hand in hand. We need them both to bring our dreams and goals into being!

Once we have the vision, we have to begin the physical, active process of bringing it into existence, of creating it!

Creation Out of Chaos

In mythology, creation often arises from chaos.  So, when our lives feel confused and uncertain. When we feel there is chaos and we don’t know what is going to come next, we can use manifestation to conjure and hold a vision of how we would like things to be then slowly, but surely, create this into being.

Our lives can fall into chaos when we are not holding a vision of some kind. We can create the life we want to live by asking ourselves each day,

‘What am I creating?’

We need to take action every day and take control of creating our ideal lives. So, if we are manifesting a new dream career we need to hold the vision of that career in our minds, what it looks like, what it feels like, and then ask ourselves every day, what have I done today to bring myself closer to that experience?
