A Libra New Moon brings the logic of air, the balance of justice, and the invitation to calculate.

Calculate the risks and rewards of action or inaction, find balance in your need to care for others and be cared for, and see the logic in the chaos of life.

Intention setting can feel obscure and like it makes perfect sense yet never really makes any sense at all. Libra sort of feels like this too.

Unless you’re a Libra of course in which case it probably makes perfect sense to you.

For most of us, balance is some idea that sounds amazing but is like beating the villain at the end of a video game. You only ever hear of other people doing it but don’t actually know anyone who has.

So, how do we set intentions when the very idea of doing so isn’t concrete or measurable and how do we find balance when the scales are constantly tipping?

We work with the Libra New Moon.

What value does balance bring to your life? What value does going all in on one passion, one project, or one area of life bring to you?

Instead of finding true balance, what if your intention this lunar cycle is to find the perfect spot in which you tip between logic and passion, but never spend too much time in either place? What if your intention is to calculate your time and make sure that you have allotted enough resources to the various roles you fill in life?

And isn’t that what balance is? The ability to be both wild and precise at the same time?

Libra challenges the way we think. Being associated with both fashion and math Libra will really challenge you to get weird but make sure that you measured twice and cut once.

And isn’t that what balance is? The ability to be both wild and precise at the same time?

On this week’s episode of the Magic on the Inside podcast those of us behind The Sisters Enchanted had a discussion with a few of our Holistic Witchery and Enchanted Journey students about the Libra New Moon and heard about their connection to this sign.

It’s so interesting to see how different types of people relate to different signs and the energy that they bring. Click here to listen in, it’s like having coffee with a bunch of Magic Makers in real life!

Also, in this week’s episode of the podcast, Program Director and Astrology Teacher Sarah Milne shared some astrological highlights for the first two weeks of the Libra lunar cycle.

Some ideas for the Libra New Moon:

        • Discover where Libra is in your birth chart and use this to better understand how this lunar cycle will impact you
        • Set an intention that challenges you to think in a new way
        • Plan for both passion projects and the ‘need to do’ life things over this lunar cycle
        • Consider your relationship to the idea of justice and how you feel like you’ve been treated unfairly or fairly in this lifetime
        • Pull out the Justice card from a tarot deck and reflect on it, ask yourself a question that you think the figure in the card would ask you, journal (for more on this topic, click here)
        • Look at the suit of Swords in tarot and dive into your relationship with your own thoughts
        • Catnip and St. John’s Wort are both associated with Libra and both have a calming effect on the nervous system- consider how your misunderstanding or lack of balance are impacting you and work with the energy of these plants to settle your internal buzz
        • Lepidolite is a calming and peaceful stone that can be helpful during this Libra lunar cycle
        • Read a book about communication
        • Light a black and a white candle and burn them together to empower you to find balance

Whether or not the Libra energy is strong within you there’s a lesson to be learned and an intention to be set this lunar cycle.
