New Moon Total Eclipse in Sagittarius December 4th (Total Solar Eclipse) to Full Moon in Gemini December 19th

New Moon in Sagittarius/ Total Solar Eclipse December 4th

The End of a Cycle of Change – Where are you Now?

This is the final eclipse in a season of Lunar and Solar eclipses involving Gemini and Sagittarius through this year. Many of us at Team TSE have really felt this eclipse season. It has bought us big cycles of change for sure. If Gemini or Sagittarius are dominant in your birth chart, especially if they are the sign of your Sun or Moon, this may well have been a year of big, life impacting change for you also. You will be relieved to hear this is the end of the cycle.

The Moon eclipsing the Sun means that our intuitive, underlying emotional Self will eclipse our Ego self.  This is a great time to reflect on the year, especially on the eclipse cycles between May and now. It would be good to journal on the changes you have been through. What is your intuition wanting you to know now? Is there any shadow work you should do now to move on freely and intentionally from these changes, especially if they were unseen or not fully desired. Eclipses can bring things we were not expecting or wanting as well as those changes we played a part in steering.

Sagittarius welcomes change so let this Moon guide you into the new adventure this year has led you into. Ruled by Jupiter, Sagittarius also guides us in connecting to things that are bigger than ourselves. This is a great time to let your intuition speak to you about how your journey through this year can lead you now into expansion as we close the year out and move into a new one.

The Eclipse New Moon is conjunct with Mercury, the messenger and planet of thought and communication. This can herald a broadening of your mind and experiences, especially if this Moon is closing a period of change. It’s the close of the eclipse season but could be the beginning of an exciting new adventure if you ending in a different place in any way than you began back in May.

Expansive Fire – Energy, Drive and Impulse

During the week after the eclipse, Mars Squares with Sagittarius’ ruler, Jupiter. This squaring up between the planet of expansion and that of motivation and action will brings us increased energy, initiative and drive, especially for getting started with new projects. We be more courageous and willing to take more risks for success and achievement.  This is a square though and this always brings tension. We may need to make sure our risks are balanced with caution and that we don’t jump in to anything too impulsively.

This fiery drive will continue for the next few weeks as, just as Mars moves from this square, it moves into Jupiter’s Sagittarius. The fiery planet in a fire sign means that we won’t be wanting a slow and gentle end to the year! We will want to go, go, go and may need to check our energy levels so we don’t burn out, and make sure we are not being led by our passion and impulse so much that we make poor choices for our actions.

Mars in Sagittarius makes us motivated by our ideas and driven by a conquest and sense of adventure. Routine and details may seem boring but we need to be sure not to abandon them or we may find we start projects with gusto, only to burn out and abandon them as we burn out as quickly as we fire up.

Slow your mind and think before you speak!

Just as Mars moves into Sagittarius, Mercury leaves this fiery adventurer for methodological and earthy Capricorn. This will bring some balance to the fire-on-fire Mars brings us at this time. Capricorn will help us to think logically and consider some planning and forethought before we act. Mars will want to run away from this but let Capricorn slow down your mind to think before you act.

Mercury in Capricorn can make us say things as it is and speak our minds. With Mars in fire, this could bring us to say things that we don’t really want to, especially in anger, so think before you speak.
