Tarot is a delightful tool, not just for divination, but as a gateway to accessing and expanding our self-trust. This  practice aligns  with the fifth step of the 5i Spiral Self-Coaching Method we teach in Holisitc Witchery. Tarot helps us with self-inquiry, in setting intentions, and navigate the waters where the logical mind may tread with hesitation.

The Tarot: A Mirror to the Soul

At its core, Tarot is a reflection of the human experience. The 78 cards in a Tarot deck are rich with symbolism, each one representing different aspects of our lives, emotions, challenges, and triumphs. When we engage with Tarot, we’re not just reading cards; we’re reading the story of our lives and the energies that surround us.

Intuition: The Inner Compass

Intuition is often described as the inner knowing, a voice that guides us beyond the reach of logical reasoning. In holistic witchery, intuition is a vital component, a tool that becomes sharper and more reliable as we progress through the initial four steps of the 5i Spiral – Identify, Investigate, Interpret, and Integrate. By the time we reach the fifth step, Intuition, our inner compass is finely tuned, ready to guide us with greater clarity and purpose.

Tarot as a Tool for Intentional Living

1. Setting Intentions: Tarot can be a powerful ally in setting intentions. By reflecting on the cards drawn, we can gain insights into what we truly desire and what steps we need to take to manifest our intentions.

2. Self-Inquiry and Reflection: Tarot prompts introspection. It encourages us to ask questions, to delve deeper into our psyche, and to explore the facets of our personality that we often overlook.

3. Accessing the Subconscious: The imagery of the Tarot speaks directly to our subconscious mind, bypassing the logical brain that often dominates our thought processes. This allows us to tap into our intuition more freely.

4. Navigating Life’s Challenges: Tarot can offer guidance and different perspectives when we face challenges or crossroads in life. It doesn’t predict the future but rather illuminates possible paths and outcomes based on our current energies.

Enhancing Intuition Through Tarot

The practice of reading Tarot is as much an art as it is a skill. It requires an open heart and mind, and most importantly, a willingness to listen to one’s intuition (and trust yourself…wild, I know!).

1. Daily Draws: Incorporating a daily Tarot card draw into your routine can be a simple yet effective way to connect with your intuition. Ask a question or simply see what the card of the day has to tell you.

2. Journaling with Tarot: Keeping a Tarot journal helps in deepening your understanding of the cards and your intuitive responses to them. Note down your thoughts, feelings, and insights for each draw.

3. Meditation and Visualization: Meditating on a Tarot card can enhance your intuitive understanding of its symbolism and message. Visualize the imagery, immerse yourself in its world, and pay attention to the insights that arise.

4. Tarot Spreads for Self-Discovery: Use specific spreads focused on self-discovery and personal growth. These spreads can provide a framework for deeper exploration of your thoughts, feelings, and the energies at play in your life.

Tarot in Holistic Witchery

In holistic witchery, Tarot is more than a divination tool; it’s a companion on the journey of self-discovery and personal growth. It aligns with the principles of the 5i Spiral, especially in the stages of Integrate and Intuition. As we integrate our experiences and insights, Tarot serves as a guide, helping us to see the patterns, lessons, and opportunities that lie within our life experiences.
