 Procrastination and Manifestation

This week’s Expedition to Soul Podcast comes at the end of our first ever Magic Week where we had a super exciting and enlightening time exploring our expansion archetypes and all the shadow work and self-development work that comes along with them. So, in this week’s podcast, Sisters Enchanted Founder and Head Magic Maker, Sara Walka, shares a warning that, while all this inner work is super important, staying there too long can actually lead to procrastination and prevent us from actually manifesting our intentions into being.

All of us at TSE know it to be true that personal development work like shadow work, journaling, working with archetypes is super important and super powerful. This work is at the heart of all our programs and all we do at The Sisters Enchanted BUT we also know it to be true that these things can, if you are not careful, actually hold you back from the change, or the manifestation or intention you came to the work to achieve in the first place.

The simple reason for this is that spending too much time doing the work and not putting the lessons we learn about ourselves into action can lead us to procrastination and manifestation and procrastination are at the opposite ends of growth

It is all too easy to think ‘I’m not ready yet, I want to spend more time exploring this archetype’ or ‘I want just one more journal prompt first, or to pull one more card before I start.’

Spending all your time on personal work will not create the change or the situation you want to create in your life without taking any action. Inner work is no longer growth when you get so stuck in it that it becomes procrastination.

Answers come from moving forward. Manifestation takes action and we can only truly grow into something new through learning when things go right, and we move forward towards our goal and making wrong decisions and mistakes and learning from them.  You will not learn and grow if we keep looking for answers through inner work and not taking action steps to move forward. Inner work is great of course but you need to put into place what you learn, or it becomes procrastination.

The way to avoid this procrastination is to see something about yourself and then, straight away, begin integrating this into who you are in your daily life. The more you do this, the more quickly you will create all the things you want into being in your life. It all starts with one little realization and one little step.

‘This is what I see about myself, and this is how I will integrate it in my life. This is what I want to create, this is how I want to expand, this is what I want to manifest and now I know this to be true about myself, this is the step I must take next.’ And then do it!

We learn through doing. Things unfold through action. If you don’t take action based on what you come to know about yourself through inner work, you will stay in procrastination and stay in the same place. Even a small action starts the snowball that will grow as the ball gets rolling.
